I had a chance to stay at Viceroy, Los Cabos and let me tell you, this place is one of the most unique hotels that I have been to all around the world!
First Impression
I was skeptical about this place at first because sometimes the pictures on the hotel websites don’t reflect the real place. However, Viceroy does look exactly like what I‘ve seen from their pictures. What I love about this hotel is that it’s very photogenic, and every single corner is very Instagram worthy!
The hotel rooms are filled with high technologies such as automatic blinds, bathroom light sensor, different coloured LED lights in your room, and they even have an Alexa so that you can play music or use it however you like.
Our room at Viceroy
We were fortunate to get a room with ocean view. There is a huge balcony that they even put an extra bed, bathtub and table right outside of the room. Our bed was very comfortable and we loved the big mirror, as well as the double shower.
The food at Viceroy
Viceroy has 3 different restaurants, one at the rooftop and two by the pool. The food was surprisingly good and not over priced at all. The price is the same as what we would pay in Canada, and a main course is around 20$. I personally loves the rooftop pool and there’s just so much energy to this place.
Hidden gems at Viceroy
What I have noticed is that not a lot of people know about the rooftop pool on the other building of the resort. It was pretty much empty and this is the perfect to watch sunrise or sunset in my opinion.
Another unpopular place is the game room and spa room which are open to all of Viceroy guests. If you are into taking pictures then you should also check out the walking path that leads to the beach. I find this empty space very unique and interesting, especially when the sun hits the ground.
The beach at Viceroy
Viceroy is a beach front property, but the beach is
open to the public and was not swimmable due to the strong waves (maybe only on the day we went). If you would like to swim in the ocean, I’d suggest to do some research about the beach in front of the property, but if you walk a little further from the resort, the beach seems to be swimmable as we saw a lot of people in the water.
However, the pools at Viceroy are right beside the beach so you will get a good ocean view if you would like to sit and chill out at the pool instead.
Overall I think Viceroy is a must visit when you are in Los Cabos. The place is very high tech, unique, photogenic and the food was incredible. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back!
